Agnew’s is one of the world’s leading international art galleries. In addition to dealing in Old Master paintings, British paintings and watercolours and Original Master prints particularly by French Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists, we also represent contemporary artists.

The firm was founded in 1817 and from premises in the West End carries on a business in works of art with clients not only throughout Britain but in the United States, continental Europe, Australia and the Far East. Agnew’s carries a full and varied stock in the specialist areas listed which are on display or can be seen by request at the gallery.

Client services

We purchase works of art for our own stock directly from private collectors or we will take works of art on consignment. We offer guidance on buying or selling at auction including pre-sale estimates, valuations, advice on conservation and bidding strategies.
